No one believes all of the time. The challenges we face in life bring us down to places where it seems no light can penetrate, and we wonder if there's any reason to go on. But then there are times when the night is as cold as ice when something deep inside speaks out. And all it says in its frail voice: "I believe in tomorrow".
lyrics
When the pain is too much and the tears are a waterfall,
I don’t believe there’s a god with us after all,
Bitter and jaded my thoughts are empirical,
Now I’m all alone and I don’t believe in miracles
No I don’t believe in miracles.
Spending all his time getting wrapped up in vendettas,
Tried to leave it all behind but he just wouldn’t let us.
Wasted all those hours sending prayers to the father,
Guess he never fucking got em cause he never seemed to bother,
No he never seemed to bother.
But sometimes I pray.
And sometimes I believe.
I believe, I believe, I believe with all of my being.
When our cities are blue and our streets are red,
And our spirits are down and we can’t get ahead,
Calling to the heavens wondering who’s beyond the stars,
But the only voice that echoes back is sounding like it’s ours,
I’m sure it’s sounding like it’s ours.
If no one is there, and the river is dry,
The fire is cold, there’s no air in the sky,
What kind of father doesn’t feed his children,
We’re never built up but we still keep building,
Oh we’re always building.
But sometimes I pray.
And sometimes I believe.
I believe, I believe, I believe with all of my being.
I pray (To a god)
Will it hear? (Will it not?)
Will I find it (If I look)
In a chapel (In a book)
In myself (Maybe there)
In the people (I know care)
In the love (On the earth)
Before death (After Birth)
